Costco Recalls Kirkland Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke in Over 30 States for Listeria Risk

A supplier's positive Listeria test in green onions prompted the recall.

Overview

  • Western United Fish Company, doing business as Annasea Foods Group, recalled approximately 3,314.7 pounds of the ready-to-eat Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold in Costco deli sections on Sept. 18.
  • Affected packages are Costco item 17193 with a pack date of 9/18/2025 and a sell-by date of 9/22/2025 in clear clamshell containers labeled Kirkland Signature.
  • Distribution covered more than 30 states, including California, Texas, New York, Florida and Washington.
  • No illnesses have been reported to date, and consumers are advised to not eat the product and to discard it or return it to Costco for a full refund.
  • Annasea is working with its green onion supplier and the FDA to determine the source of the contamination, following a week that also saw a separate Kirkland Prosecco safety notice.
