Overview
- Costco has issued recalls for a diverse array of products from 2016 to 2025, covering window air conditioners, lithium-ion power banks, adjustable dumbbells, tires, coolers, kitchen appliances, electric scooters, bottled water, cold medicines and prepared foods.
- Danby and Midea U-shaped window air conditioners may foster mold growth from pooled water and present health risks, while Anker power banks can overheat and pose fire hazards and Bridgestone and Michelin tires fail to meet DOT marking requirements or risk tire tread detachment.
- Consumers are urged to stop using affected items immediately and return them to any warehouse or follow detailed manufacturer instructions online.
- Eligible members can choose free in-home technician repairs, mail-in repair kits or full or prorated refunds or replacements based on product model and purchase or manufacture dates.
- The recall campaign is coordinated with the CPSC, FDA, USDA and NHTSA and extends to both in-store and Costco Next offerings to ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance and consumer safety.
