The municipality implemented supervised detours to safeguard competitors and pedestrians, with normal traffic expected Sunday.

  • The last scheduled restriction runs from 11:30 p.m. on Friday, December 5, to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, for racewalking events.
  • The affected corridor spans San Miguel to Chorrillos and impacts stretches through San Miguel, Magdalena, Miraflores, Barranco and Chorrillos.
  • Access ramps at Escardó, Bertolotto, Brasil, Marbella, San Martín, Balta and Armendáriz remain disabled during the closure.
  • Published detours route north–south traffic via Costanera, Bertolotto, Armendáriz, San Martín and José Olaya, and south–north via Chorrillos, Miguel Grau, Reducto, José Pardo, Pérez Araníbar, Del Ejército and La Paz.
  • Police Nacional and the ATU are supervising traffic management, and authorities say the avenue will return to regular flow after the operation concludes.
