Overview
- Corus is rolling out its first full fall season for Flavour and Home, which debuted in December, headlined by renovation series “Building Baeumler” with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler and holiday specials hosted by Lauren Ash.
- Specialty channels will also feature Canadian originals like “Rentovation” and “Beer Budget Reno” alongside returning hits including “Top Chef Canada,” “Kitchen Nightmares” and “Wild Game Kitchen.”
- The Global channel lineup includes new U.S. imports such as CBS crime drama “CIA” starring Tom Ellis and NBCUniversal titles “The Paper,” “The Copenhagen Test” and “PONIES.”
- History and National Geographic are adding celebrity-driven series including “WWII with Tom Hanks,” “History’s Deadliest with Ving Rhames,” “Hazardous History with Henry Winkler” and the Ryan Reynolds–narrated “Underdogs.”
- This programming push comes after a 10 per cent revenue decline in the second quarter and accompanies Corus’s campaign to persuade the CRTC to relax Canadian content regulations.
