Overview

  • On September 24, 2024, Ben Crook, 32, was removed from a flight in Antalya after erratic behaviour linked to alcohol and cocaine consumption and separated from his partner and two children.
  • He never reached his hotel and was last seen near Kaleici Harbour appearing shaken and hungover before his body was found at the base of a tall building the following day.
  • A post-mortem in Turkey and a subsequent examination at Grange University Hospital recorded severe head and pelvic trauma consistent with a fall.
  • Toxicology reports detected alcohol, cocaine, ketamine, and cocaethylene in his system, with ketamine likely administered during emergency treatment.
  • Senior coroner Caroline Saunders delivered the verdict on June 10 that Crook’s fall was accidental and involved no third-party involvement or suicide.
