Coroner Receives Case File in Rachel O’Hare Death Inquiry

Greater Manchester Police have ruled out third-party involvement, with the Coroners’ Court now in possession of the evidence file.

Overview

  • On June 30 at around 7 am, Rachel O’Hare fell from an upper floor of a building on Great Ancoats Street and was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Emergency services cordoned off the area around the Leonardo Hotel and Victoria House apartments while officers examined the circumstances of her fall.
  • Greater Manchester Police concluded there were no suspicious circumstances and no other person involved in the incident.
  • Manchester Coroners’ Court has confirmed receipt of the full evidence file but has not yet set a date for the inquest hearing.
  • In her 40s and originally from the Wirral, O’Hare co-founded the women’s charity Elle for Elle and later coordinated fundraising events for The Cheshire Magazine.
