Overview

• Andrew Porter, 25, and Ian Stasko, 25, were confirmed by Conejos County Coroner Richard Martin as the two men recovered near the Rio De Los Pinos Trailhead.
• Deputies recovered the bodies around 11 a.m. on Sept. 18 about two miles from the trailhead following days of searching.
• The operation deployed more than 170 personnel, including ground teams, helicopters, drones and dog teams across rugged San Juan Wilderness terrain.
• Their vehicle was found at the trailhead with camping gear and backpacks inside as storms and cold, foggy conditions moved through the area.
• Autopsies are scheduled for Monday in El Paso County, and authorities say there were no visible injuries or initial signs of foul play.
