Overview
- Senior coroner Alison Mutch opened proceedings at South Manchester Coroner's Court and recorded a provisional cause of death as "hanging."
- Hatton was found unresponsive at his home in Gee Cross, Hyde, on 14 September by his manager, Paul Speak, who was due to take him to Manchester Airport for a flight to Dubai.
- Greater Manchester Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
- Evidence to the court stated Hatton was last seen by his family on 12 September and appeared well, and he failed to attend a planned event on 13 September.
- A post-mortem has been conducted but full results are not yet available, and a comprehensive inquest is scheduled for 20 March 2026.
