Overview
- Cork defeated Galway 2-14 to 0-19 at Croke Park on Sunday to lift the O'Duffy Cup for the 31st time.
- The team followed tradition with a visit to Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street earlier on Monday to show the cup to patients, families and staff.
- Cork travelled back to Leeside by train, arrived at Kent Station and rode an open-top bus to Grand Parade for an evening celebration.
- Thousands packed Grand Parade as players and management took the stage with the cup and national and local leaders, including Taoiseach Micheál Martin, attended.
- The Cork County Board and Cork City Council managed the event with stewards and some rolling traffic restrictions, and the cup was scheduled to visit captain Meabh Cahalane's St Finbarr's club in Togher later that night.
