Overview
- Eric Migicovsky’s Core Devices reclaimed the Pebble trademark in July and rebranded its prototypes from Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 to Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Time 2.
- The finalized Time 2 design uses 316 stainless steel, knurled metal buttons, reduced bezels, flat glass and polycarbonate accents to optimize radio performance.
- Running open-source PebbleOS, the watch offers heart-rate monitoring, a built-in compass, dual microphones and an RGB backlight to sustain an estimated 30-day battery life.
- Pre-orders opened August 13 at $225 with an upcoming survey to let early preorder customers upgrade to the Time 2 while retaining their queue position.
- Core Devices is finalizing colorway choices and completing production tests and certification ahead of a tentative late-2025 to January 2026 ship window, with no firm delivery date yet.
