Corbières Wildfire Burns 10,000 Hectares, Forces Precautionary Evacuations

Authorities have deployed 1,110 firefighters operating 14 aircraft to halt the fire under severe heat, high winds.

Overview

  • Ignited Tuesday afternoon in the Corbières massif, the fire has consumed about 10,000 hectares of forest and shrubland.
