Overview

  • On July 5, the Diamondbacks reinstated All-Star outfielder Corbin Carroll from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder/outfielder Tim Tawa to Triple-A Reno.
  • Carroll sustained a left wrist chip fracture on June 18 after being hit by a pitch in Toronto and missed 17 days of play.
  • He requested and completed a seven-inning rehab appearance in the Arizona Complex League on July 4, drawing two walks.
  • Manager Torey Lovullo said team physicians confirmed Carroll cannot further injure his wrist and his availability now hinges on his pain tolerance when batting.
