Corbin Burnes Named Orioles' Opening Day Starter

The Baltimore Orioles have officially announced Corbin Burnes as their Opening Day starter against the Los Angeles Angels, marking his third consecutive Opening Day start.

Corbin Burnes, the 2021 National League Cy Young winner, will make his debut for the Orioles on Opening Day, March 28, against the Los Angeles Angels.
The Orioles acquired Burnes in a blockbuster trade with the Milwaukee Brewers on February 1, sending prospects DL Hall, Joey Ortiz, and a 2024 draft pick in return.
This will be Burnes' third consecutive Opening Day start, having previously pitched for the Brewers in 2022 and 2023.
Burnes has been one of baseball's most dominant pitchers over the last four seasons, finishing eighth or better in NL Cy Young voting each year.
