- The Broadway League announced Tuesday that the sixth annual Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth will take place June 19 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Duffy Square, rain or shine.
- Corbin Bleu, currently starring on Broadway in The Great Gatsby, is set to emcee the 90-minute free concert.
- Debbie Allen will receive the 2026 Juneteenth Legacy Award in recognition of her decades-long work as a performer, director, choreographer and arts educator.
- The event will feature performers drawn from 17 Broadway productions backed by a live orchestra supported by the Music Performance Trust Fund and the Film Funds, with ASL interpretation provided by Pro Bono ASL and Flagstar Bank as lead sponsor.
- Black to Broadway, launched by The Broadway League in 2019 to expand opportunities for Black artists and leaders in commercial theater, uses this public concert to raise visibility for onstage and behind-the-scenes inclusion and to connect audiences with the industry’s diversity efforts.
