Cops Under Investigation for Allegedly Jailing 3-Year-Old Son as Punishment

Two Florida police officers reportedly locked their 3-year-old son in a jail cell on multiple occasions as a form of discipline for potty training issues.
One officer admitted the child was handcuffed during the second jailing and said it was an effective way to teach the toddler a lesson.
The incidents came to light recently, but occurred last fall and sparked an internal investigation into the officers’ conduct.
The officers had been given 20 hours of unpaid leave last month in connection with the incidents.
The Florida Department of Children and Families is also aware of the case, though records have been sealed by the courts.
