The plot revolves around an architect's vision to rebuild New York City into a utopia following a devastating disaster, leading to a clash with his lover's father who holds a more traditional view of society.
Despite reports of the film exceeding its initial budget and the departure of key staff, Coppola and lead actor Adam Driver have defended the production process, with Driver describing it as one of his best shooting experiences.
