Overview
- Crowds gather at Posto 5 from 10:00 with the walk set to depart at 13:00 along Avenida Atlântica toward Praça do Lido, where activities end around 17:00.
- The Comissão de Combate à Intolerância Religiosa and CEAP lead the action, which they expect to draw about 100,000 participants.
- A broad mix of faiths is represented, including Candomblé, Umbanda, Catholics, evangelicals, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, Hare Krishnas, Wiccans, Romani groups and Mormons.
- The day concludes with the cultural festival Cantando a Gente Se Entende featuring Grupo Awurê, pastor Kleber Lucas, padre Lázaro, Banda Soul da Paz and Marquinhos de Oswaldo Cruz.
