Overview
- Deutsche Bahn and regional operators have published confirmed special timetables that close or truncate key routes, with Munich’s Stammstrecke limited to lines S3, S5 and S8 at 20‑minute intervals from 3 November 04:00 until 6 November 03:30.
- Munich will see further full‑weekend blocks on the Stammstrecke on 13–16 November, 27–30 November and 4–7 December, during which many S‑bahn lines will start or end outside the city centre and buses will replace trains on affected sections.
- Bayerische Regiobahn has announced restrictions from 3–8 November affecting RE67 and other regional services, including cancelled stops at several Augsburg stations and Schienenersatzverkehr (SEV) bus replacement on the night into 8 November.
- Berlin’s Ringbahn faces a series of short closures with bus replacement on specific sections and night blocks between 29 October and 4 November that will change normal S41/S42 routings and require passengers to use alternate connections.
- Hamburg’s southern platforms will be renewed through 21 November, limiting access to tracks near platforms 11–14 and forcing shortened, diverted or terminal changes for regional and some long‑distance services; operators urge travellers to check special timetables and expect very full peak trains.
