• The shooting unfolded around 5:30 p.m. Monday after the deputy arrived at a reported domestic violence incident on the 6400-block of Joliet Road
• The officer encountered a male suspect holding one woman at knifepoint while a second victim lay motionless nearby
• The suspect was shot when he resumed stabbing a victim, and all three individuals were taken to local hospitals
