Conxemar Opens in Vigo With Record 797 Exhibitors as Traffic Controls Take Effect

An expanded buyer program alongside a live culinary stage aims to boost deal-making and visibility for the frozen seafood industry.

Overview

  • Running October 7–9 at IFEVI, the XXVI edition brings participants from 46 countries across more than 37,000 square meters of exhibition space.
  • The official mobility plan is active daily from 7:30 to 14:00 with potential extensions, including changes around AP-9 exit 157, one-way conversions near IFEVI, and restrictions for vehicles over 3,500 kg.
  • Authorities coordinating the operation include Ifevi, Audasa, the Transport Ministry, Aena, local police from Vigo and Mos, the Guardia Civil, and Conxemar.
  • Conxemar expands its Programme of Buyers from 13 to 29 countries and from 35 to 50 invited buyers, and debuts a showcooking stage for live demos, tastings, and product launches.
  • New national participation includes Cabo Verde, Korea, Germany, Guinea-Bissau, and Algeria, while hotel occupancy nears 99% with many last‑minute rates around €300–€400 and more than 1,000 free airport parking spaces plus about 400 at VigoParking.
