• Devon Conway has been drafted into New Zealand’s T20I squad as Finn Allen’s replacement for the Zimbabwe tri-series.
• Allen suffered a foot injury playing for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket and was ruled out on July 9.
• New Zealand head coach Rob Walter has also added Mitch Hay, Jimmy Neesham and Tim Robinson to cover for players involved in the MLC final.
• The tri-series starts Sunday with hosts Zimbabwe facing South Africa and follows a double round-robin format leading to a July 26 final.
• Walter said he was “really gutted for Finn” and welcomed Conway’s international experience to strengthen the squad.
