Overview
- INPE confirmed that Rolando Gerónimo Mateo fled on January 1 around 4:20 p.m. by scaling the perimeter between pavilions 1 and 4 in the area known as “tierra de nadie.”

- INPE notified the National Police to conduct search and recapture operations and alerted the Public Ministry to investigate circumstances and potential responsibility.
- The fugitive, who had been held in pavilion 3 for a conviction of sexual assault, remains at large, with local reports noting residents are on alert.
