Controversial Saints Row Reboot Now Free on Epic Games Store

Offer comes months after closure of developer Volition, with improvements made to the game following its initial flop.

The 2022 reboot of Saints Row is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store, following the closure of its developer, Volition, in August.
The game, which was contentious from its reveal and considered a major flop, led to the closure of Volition after 30 years in the video game industry.
Despite its initial reception, Volition worked hard to improve the game over the following year, adding AMD FSR 2.1 support on PC, three expansions, two free districts, a combat overhaul, and other quality-of-life features.
The game is available for free until 4pm GMT on December 31st, as part of the Epic Games Store's daily holiday freebies.
Despite the free offer, the game's expansions are not included and must be paid for separately, although they are currently 50% off due to the holiday sale.
