  • The Deer Creek fire has scorched about 16,340 acres and reached 22% containment as teams work along its southeastern edge.
  • Increased containment on the South Rim fire—now 31%—has prompted the lifting of boating restrictions on Blue Mesa Reservoir.
  • Fire managers achieved 70% containment on the 2,274-acre Sowbelly fire and 34% containment on the 466-acre Wright Draw fire through targeted firing operations and improved access.
