Construction Walls Close Most of Savi’s Workshop Courtyard at Galaxy’s Edge

Disney has not explained the project despite the visible reduction in the check-in area.

Overview

  • New tan and beige wooden walls and tightly pulled tarps now wrap around almost the entire courtyard outside the lightsaber-building venue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Access to Savi’s Workshop continues, but umbrellas were removed or shifted to a small remaining section, reducing shade and staging for check-in.
  • Guests cannot see what work is occurring behind the barriers, and Walt Disney World has not announced the scope or timeline.
  • The move follows summer barriers along the Toy Story Land–Galaxy’s Edge border, with earlier permits suggesting a possible snack kiosk on the Toy Story Land side that remains unconfirmed.
  • The reduced staging space has made the waiting area more crowded for reservation holders, and walk-up availability remains extremely limited.
