Console Archives: The Conveni 2 Coming to PS5 and Switch 2

The 1997 convenience-store sim is being reworked to include save states, CRT-style display filters, double-speed mode and other modern conveniences.

Hamster announced Wednesday that Console Archives The Conveni 2 will launch on September 3 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 at $11.99 (1,200 yen).
The port revamps the original 1997 visuals, adds more maps and shifts the camera to an isometric viewpoint to increase the game’s sense of scale.
New gameplay functions include a double-speed mode and a tool to create original store markers that change how players design and run in-game shops.
All in-game text ships in Japanese only, which limits access for non-Japanese speakers and may affect the game’s listing or availability on some international digital storefronts.
The release continues Hamster’s Console Archives program of modern ports for niche 1990s home-console titles, following an earlier Conveni re-release this year and arriving alongside at least one outlet’s incorrect report that listed the PS4 as a platform.
