Conrad Sangma Launches 2026 CM-Connect in Garo Hills, Sanctions Rs 200-Crore Road

The outreach channels village demands into funded projects with departmental follow-up.

Overview

At Memillam under Adokgre C&RD Block, the chief minister opened the year's first CM-Connect and heard residents directly.
He cleared funding for the Adokgre–Mangsang road linking Memillam under a World Bank-assisted project, with work initiation to begin soon.
Villagers flagged gaps in road links, electricity, drinking water, school facilities and agri-horticulture support during the interaction.
Funds to repair and upgrade school infrastructure will be provided under the Chief Minister’s Special Development Scheme.
PHE Minister Marcuise N Marak and MLAs Rupert Momin and Jim Sangma joined the visit, as Sangma also stopped in East and North Garo Hills to meet residents and thank them for their support.
