Connors State Sophomore Ethan Dietz Dies After In-Game Injury

Connors State College announced Nov. 25 that Ethan Dietz died days after being injured during a men’s basketball game.
Dietz was hurt in the second half of Saturday’s 69-64 loss at Grayson College in Texas and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not specify the nature or medical cause of the injury in public statements.
The school canceled the men’s games at SAU Tech on Wednesday and versus Grayson on Dec. 1, as well as women’s games Tuesday and Saturday against Labette County.
A campus vigil is set for Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Nero Fine Arts Building, and no-cost counseling is available through Green Country Behavioral Health and Timely Care.
