Connecticut Man Arrested in Fatal Corinth Shooting, Held for Extradition
Authorities report an active investigation with no ongoing threat to the public.

- Jawon Owens, 27, of East Hartford, was arrested in Hartford on a Maine warrant charging murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a firearm.
- The Sept. 21 shooting near 272 Main St. in Corinth left Scott Roberts, 46, dead and Michael McGregor, 32, critically wounded.
- Roberts’ death was ruled a homicide from a gunshot wound following a Sept. 22 autopsy by the medical examiner.
- Owens was taken into custody by Hartford police without incident and is being held at the Hartford Correctional Center pending extradition to Maine for an initial appearance at the Bangor Judicial Center.
- Maine State Police say tips are still sought by the Major Crimes Unit North, and it was not immediately clear if Owens has obtained legal counsel.
