Connecticut Boy Dies After Alleged Domestic Assault by Stepfather

The 6-year-old succumbed to injuries from a baseball bat attack that also critically injured his mother and brother.

Abdulrahim Sulaiman, 38, has been arrested on charges including felony murder following the death of his stepson, Jathan Escobar.
The incident occurred on September 25 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where the family lived.
Jathan's mother and 4-year-old brother suffered life-threatening injuries but have since been stabilized.
The Department of Children and Family Services had interacted with the family two months prior to the attack.
A fundraiser has been set up to assist the family with medical and funeral expenses, raising approximately $14,000.
