Overview
- The AICC announced activation and expansion of its Law, Human Rights and RTI Department to the district level across India.
- Each administrative district will field a team of at least five prominent lawyers to coordinate activities and handle party litigation.
- Every state will form a Rapid Response Force of at least five leading lawyers to quickly take up matters in state courts.
- A computerised, state-wise alphabetical directory of department members will be compiled to aid coordination.
- An internship programme will attach one or two professionals aged 21–28 to each of the party’s 127 MPs, with a later extension to MLAs.
