Congress Promises Jobs, Subsidies, and Social Welfare in Delhi Poll Manifesto

The manifesto includes five key guarantees, expanded healthcare, and targeted benefits for marginalized groups ahead of February 5 elections.

Congress unveiled a manifesto pledging 33% job reservation for women, permanent government jobs, and a caste census.
Five guarantees include 300 free electricity units, subsidized LPG cylinders at ₹500, ₹2,500 monthly for women, free health insurance up to ₹25 lakh, and ₹8,500 for unemployed youth.
Proposals for marginalized groups include ₹5,000 monthly pensions, ₹1.1 lakh for weddings of disadvantaged women, and 15% reservation in government contracts for Scheduled Castes.
Infrastructure commitments include 10 new hospitals, 1,500 dispensaries, 700 public libraries, and 24/7 access to clean drinking water by reducing wastage.
The party also plans to revive Sheila Dikshit-era initiatives, improve public transport, and address pollution with a focus on quality of life.
