Congress Leaders Decline Invitation to Ayodhya Ram Temple Inauguration

BJP accuses Congress of denying Lord Ram's existence and politicizing the event.

Congress leaders, including party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have declined the invitation to the inauguration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, labeling it a 'political project' of the BJP and RSS.
The Congress party alleges that the inauguration of the incomplete temple has been brought forward for electoral gain.
BJP leaders, including Union Minister Smriti Irani and national spokesperson Nalin Kohli, have criticized the Congress leaders' decision, accusing them of denying Lord Ram's existence and insulting Sanatan Dharma.
The temple inauguration, scheduled for January 22, is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among other political leaders, industrialists, actors, and prominent personalities.
The event, which is generating significant interest, will be preceded by the inauguration of an international airport and a redeveloped railway station in the area.
