Overview

• The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan was launched in April with 43 AICC observers and 183 PCC observers overseeing appointments across 26 Lok Sabha constituencies, 182 assembly segments and 235 Block Congress Committees.
• The 40 DCC presidents were selected for their grassroots connection, ideological clarity and organizational ability.
• Only one woman leader, Sonal Patel, was appointed to head the Ahmedabad city unit.
• At least five incumbents retained their posts, including Rutvij Joshi in Vadodara city and Naushad Solanki in Surendranagar.
• Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi guided the exercise as part of efforts to strengthen district units ahead of the 2027 Gujarat Assembly Elections.
