Condor Retires Boeing 757 After 35 Years With FrankfurtVienna Farewell Flight

The move completes Condor's transition to an Airbus-only fleet for greater efficiency, sustainability.

  • The final round-trip on November 5 used 757-300 D-ABOM on FrankfurtViennaFrankfurt, carrying staff, media and auctioned-seat enthusiasts.
  • On the return leg the crew traced a ‘757’ in the sky over northern Germany, with a live DJ, signature cocktails and commemorative pins onboard.
  • Condor’s last regular 757 services operated earlier, including DüsseldorfPalma de Mallorca on Oct. 29 and FrankfurtHurghada on Nov. 2.
  • The phaseout leaves Condor operating A320/A321 families on short and medium haul and A330-900neos on long haul, replacing the aging Boeing type.
  • Several retired 757s are being ferried to UK facilities such as Cotswold Airport and St Athan for part-out or dismantling.
