Overview
- The final round-trip on November 5 used 757-300 D-ABOM on Frankfurt–Vienna–Frankfurt, carrying staff, media and auctioned-seat enthusiasts.
- On the return leg the crew traced a ‘757’ in the sky over northern Germany, with a live DJ, signature cocktails and commemorative pins onboard.
- Condor’s last regular 757 services operated earlier, including Düsseldorf–Palma de Mallorca on Oct. 29 and Frankfurt–Hurghada on Nov. 2.
- The phaseout leaves Condor operating A320/A321 families on short and medium haul and A330-900neos on long haul, replacing the aging Boeing type.
- Several retired 757s are being ferried to UK facilities such as Cotswold Airport and St Athan for part-out or dismantling.
