Overview

  • Flight DE3665 was rerouted about 30–40 minutes after departing Korfu when a cockpit parameter registered values outside normal ranges.
  • Passengers and eyewitnesses reported visible flames from the right engine, which Condor said resulted from combustion outside the engine caused by disrupted airflow rather than an internal fire.
  • The Boeing 757 landed safely in Brindisi at approximately 20:15 local time and all 273 passengers and eight crew members disembarked without injury.
  • Condor arranged hotel accommodations and provided vouchers and blankets where local lodging was unavailable, then flew guests to Düsseldorf on a replacement aircraft the following morning.
  • The affected 757 remains in Brindisi undergoing technical inspection as Condor and aviation authorities investigate the root cause of the anomaly.
