Overview
- Washington re-signed veteran cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr., who spent last season with the team, as reported by Heavy.
- Hamilton worked mainly on special teams in 2025 and logged 18 tackles, two passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.
- He is expected to compete for a depth role behind projected starters Trey Amos, Mike Sainristil, and either Ahkello Witherspoon or Amik Robertson.
- The team views depth as a priority after a five-win 2025 season that was undercut by injuries, including to quarterback Jayden Daniels.
- Washington also leaned into youth in the 2026 draft, led by No. 7 pick linebacker Sonny Styles and mid-round picks praised for their fit in Dan Quinn’s 3-4 defense.
