Overview

  • Washington placed second-round pick Trey Amos on injured reserve after he fractured his fibula in the Week 10 loss to Detroit, and coach Dan Quinn said he will be out for a while.
  • Amos, 23, appeared in 10 games with eight starts this season and recorded 32 tackles with six pass breakups.
  • The team said Amos, quarterback Jayden Daniels (left elbow), wide receiver Treylon Burks (finger) and linebacker Ale Kaho (concussion) will not travel for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins in Madrid.
  • As corresponding moves, the Commanders signed wide receivers Robbie Chosen and Jacoby Jones to the active roster from the practice squad.
  • Washington’s secondary was already depleted with Marshon Lattimore on IR with a torn ACL, and defensive tackle Daron Payne is appealing a one-game suspension.
