Overview
- A ComfortDelGro autonomous vehicle struck a road divider at about 3:10pm on Jan 17 at Edgedale Plains during routine mapping after detecting a small object and a safety operator’s manual takeover.
- There were no passengers on board and no injuries were reported.
- ComfortDelGro has called a safety timeout for its autonomous vehicles and is working with the Land Transport Authority on a thorough review.
- Senior Minister of State for Transport Sun Xueling said Grab’s separately operated, by‑invitation shuttle on Route 1 will continue testing, noting it uses different vehicles and software.
