Colts QB Anthony Richardson Ready for Return, Unchanged Style

Despite Injury-Plagued Rookie Season, Richardson and Colts Management Optimistic About Future Performance

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, who missed most of the 2023 season due to a shoulder injury, is eager to return to the field and has no plans to change his playing style.
Richardson acknowledges he needs to play smarter to avoid injuries, such as getting down or out of bounds when necessary, but insists he will continue to play tough and physical.
Despite only playing four games in his rookie season, Richardson showed promise with 577 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, along with 136 yards and four scores from 25 runs.
Richardson believes he could have taken the Colts to the playoffs had he not been injured, and is focused on achieving that goal in the 2024 season.
Colts general manager Chris Ballard is encouraged by Richardson's performance and believes he can be a strong quarterback in the league, not just as a runner but also as a passer.
