Colorado Parents Charged After Abandoning 1-Month-Old Baby in Road Median on Christmas

A passerby alerted authorities around 9:20 a.m., and the baby was transported to Children's Hospital Colorado as a precaution, where he was found to be in good health.
Investigators identified the infant's biological parents, Jarvis Sims, 42, and Christina Thurman, 33, who were arrested later that day on felony child abuse charges.
Authorities believe the parents abandoned the baby following an argument in which they separated and left the infant behind in the street.
The baby has since been placed in the care of child protective services, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
