Colorado Grand Jury Indicts L.A. Man in Alleged Online Sex-Trafficking Scheme

Prosecutors are seeking additional Colorado victims as the case moves through interstate custody.

Overview

  • Andrew Dominguez, 36, was charged with seven counts that include violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, two counts of attempted pimping, two counts of criminal impersonation, extortion, and tampering with a victim or witness.
  • The indictment alleges he began contacting hundreds of women and girls online in early 2023 to recruit them for a trafficking operation.
  • Prosecutors say he solicited sexual images from Colorado women, then used the photos without consent in ads for in-person sex and demanded money to remove the postings, including in a case involving a 19-year-old.
  • He was arrested in California by the state’s Fugitive Apprehension Team and the U.S. Marshals Service with assistance from Denver DA investigators and remains jailed there with no extradition date set.
  • Authorities are asking additional Colorado victims to contact Investigator Joe DeAngelo in the Denver DA’s Human Trafficking Unit at 720-913-9108.
