Colombian cyclist Miguel Ángel López provisionally suspended for potential doping violation

López provisionally suspended by the International Cycling Union based on evidence obtained in an investigation into Spanish doctor Marcos Maynar.
López's former team, Astana-Qazaqstan, terminated his contract in December citing new evidence linking him to Maynar.
The potential violation is related to the use and possession of a prohibited substance prior to the 2022 Giro d'Italia.
López denies any allegations of doping and emphasizes he has never tested positive.
The suspension comes shortly after López won the Colombian national time trial championship.
