Overview
- The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the Navayikkulam–Kallambalam service road at Ethukkad after the driver lost control.
- The vehicle was carrying about 42 students, teachers and staff from a Thrissur engineering college on an educational visit to Vizhinjam Port.
- The bus hit the compound of a house and toppled onto its side, causing minor property damage with no injuries to the residents.
- The injured, including members of the crew, were taken to Parippally Government Medical College Hospital and nearby private hospitals in Kollam, and most are reported to be out of danger.
