College Sports Commission Launches Anonymous Tip Line for NIL and Revenue-Sharing Violations

The tool is meant to strengthen enforcement of NIL and revenue-sharing rules following early rollout stumbles.

Overview

  • The CSC contracted RealResponse to run the system, which accepts confidential reports via text, WhatsApp, web forms, phone and email with identities protected.
  • Reports can be submitted by anyone with information, and CSC staff can follow up with whistleblowers without revealing their identities.
  • The commission continues to review third-party NIL deals of $600 or more through the Deloitte-built NIL Go platform.
  • Through Aug. 31, the CSC says it approved nearly 6,100 deals totaling about $35.4 million after correcting earlier data due to a Deloitte clerical error.
  • Some school and collective officials cite slow reviews and clunky functionality in NIL Go, while the CSC says most deals clear quickly and that heightened scrutiny of problematic submissions is by design, with the new tip line intended to surface any attempts to bypass the system.
