College Football Playoff Director Bill Hancock Announces Retirement in 2025

Hancock will step down as executive director of the College Football Playoff when his contract expires on Feb. 1, 2025.
Hancock took over as the CFP's first executive director in 2012 and will oversee its expansion to 12 teams.
Hancock previously served as the first full-time director of the NCAA Final Four and administrator of the Bowl Championship Series.
Hancock's retirement will mark the end of his more than 50-year career in college athletics.
The CFP will conduct a national search to find Hancock's successor beginning next year.
