  • A seven-year-old girl was struck by the falling tree and pronounced dead en route to Royal Darwin Hospital.
  • An 11-year-old boy also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Royal Darwin Hospital.
  • Northern Territory Police and St John Ambulance crews responded swiftly to the scene and conveyed both children to hospital.
  • Police have ruled out suspicious circumstances and will prepare a coronial report to examine the causes of the collapse.
