At least 16 people have been injured, with two reported to be in critical condition, and dozens more are feared trapped under the debris.
The accident occurred during construction work involving roof slabs and scaffolding at the site, which employed hundreds of workers.
Rescue operations are underway with the involvement of the State Disaster Emergency Response Force, as authorities work to locate and assist those still trapped.
Local officials and BJP MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma have called for compensation for the victims and urged the factory management to provide jobs to the families of the deceased on compassionate grounds.
