• On-ice sessions begin Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Ladner Leisure Centre with 81 players taking part.
• Cole Bieksa is attending on a free-agent invite after recording 31 goals and 78 points in 52 U18 games for Fairmont last season.
• The Coquitlam Express announced in February that Bieksa signed for the upcoming BCHL season.
• Fairmont defenceman Lance McCloskey is also being evaluated, appears on the Giants’ protected list, and has signed with the BCHL’s Victoria Grizzlies.
• The Giants start camp with GM Hnat Domenichelli and coach Parker Burgess, with activities concluding Sunday at the Legends intrasquad game.
