Coldplay Reschedules Final Two Wembley Shows to Sept. 6 and 12 as Tube Strikes Loom

Licensing requirements tied to crowd safety left no viable way to stage the shows without Underground service.

Overview

  • The Sept. 7 concert moves to Sept. 6 and the Sept. 8 date shifts to Sept. 12, the band announced.
  • All tickets remain valid; fans unable to attend can request refunds via their point of purchase by noon BST on Sept. 2.
  • Returned tickets will be released at 11am BST on Sept. 3 exclusively through Ticketmaster.
  • Coldplay said the lack of Tube service would prevent safe transport for 82,000 attendees and block event licences, with RMT action scheduled from Sept. 5 over seven days.
  • The remaining Wembley shows on Aug. 30, Aug. 31, Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 are set to proceed as planned, and Saturday’s show was briefly paused twice for medical assistance in the crowd, according to reports.
